This morning on the news Georgia Power announced they were putting a new power generating plant on line. I found it ironic that the new plant is running on natural gas. With the low price of natural gas, it is a good way to make electricity. When people tout electric cars or hybrid cars as the answer, they forget the power has to come from somewhere. Coal and natural gas consumption are used to generate electricity which takes away some of the “green” of electric cars.
