The Trane XV 80 furnace is a variable speed, two stage furnace designed to operate at different distinct outputs to keep a home warm and comfortable at all outdoor temperatures. It utilizes a two stage gas valve and a D/C powered variable indoor fan motor to achieve these different stages of heat and when installed with a special humidity sensing thermostat, the XV80 becomes a dehumidifier system in the summer as well as a heating system. This unit can be responsible for removing up to 30% more moisture from a home in a humid climate.
